| Kevin Constantine's Total Hockey is a unique training software to learn the game of hockey quickly and easily with Kevin as your personal tutor. Total Hockey is broken down into 12 CDs each covering a different aspect of the game. There are three elements to each CD - written content, video clips and charts/diagrams. All hockey video is of NHL players in game situations. The video clips contain graphics and voiceovers by Kevin to clearly describe the teaching point of the video.
The main window contains an outline on the lefthand hand side which allows a user to quickly locate any topic covered in the CD. The outline contains folders and files which when selected display their content on the right hand side of the window. The content contains text which is linked to video clips, charts and diagrams that illustrate the topic being discussed. Blue text is linked to video and green text is linked to charts or diagrams. When a video link is clicked the video first plays in a large video window and then switches to a small window to be replayed by the user if needed. Video controls located in each window provide basic video playback such as play, pause, rewind, frame-by-frame and enlarge/reduce video. When a chart or diagram link is clicked the graphic appears in the center of the screen. Clicking on the graphic hides it and returns the user to the main window. A variety of buttons across the top of the screen allows the user easy access to all the video, charts, diagrams and drills contained in the CD. A dictionary of terms, print command, and help section are also located there. Total Hockey is unique for three reasons. |
